Ryan Der is a renowned ceramicist and creative powerhouse based in Tamarama, Sydney. Having got his start at a studio in Los Angeles, Ryan has honed his pottery skills at studios in North America, South-East Asia, and New Zealand, working to master his craft for nearly a decade.

Today, he spends his time at his beach-side studio creating commissions and sharing his knowledge with people of all skill levels in small-group workshops and classes. He is a curator of experiences and is passionate about sharing the unique joy that only creating with your hands can bring.

Ryan will be bringing a unique and immersive experience to Winning x InDesign’s workshop to showcase the intricate art form of ceramics and the dynamic connection between space, artist, and clay. During Saturday Indesign, he will have six pottery wheels available, giving you the opportunity to learn from him and create your own designs with clay on the wheels.
