 Leading by example by creating permanent bespoke installations showcasing a selection of Academy’s unique products for the fit-out, Philip Chia of The Uncarved Block explains the big idea for the new space and his vision to redefine and enhance the showroom experience and appeal by expanding the offer to architects and designers in response to current industry needs.

Academy’s future success relies on establishing a community hub and an engaging entertainment venue that goes beyond just product display. The future showroom should be a highly adaptive and evolving creative space that provides an inclusive presentation and workshop venue benefiting both designers and suppliers alike.

Niall McLaughlin joins this talk to provide his personal insights related to collaborative partnerships within the industry and his assessment of how this model will benefit not only the end users but both Academy and similar specialist retailers like Mama Casa moving forward.

The moderator for this talk is Doug Jenkins, Academy’s Sales and Showroom Manager who has been on the design and delivery journey from day 1.

Philip is the founder of The Uncarved Block and he continues to apply his craft and authentic design approach across a broad range of projects.
