Andrew Piva

B.E Architecture is an award-winning, Melbourne-based multidisciplinary architecture and design firm working throughout Australia. With 20 years’ experience, B.E Architecture is regarded for designing highly considered and finely crafted buildings with an enduring quality.

One of three directors Andrew Piva has been an integral part of B.E Architecture for the past 15 years. Andrew has developed the company’s design standards and is responsible for ensuring project outcomes and quality assurance. Andrew is highly involved in the developing design schemes and overseeing the construction of projects to ensure client expectations are meet. With broad knowledge of materiality, furnishings, construction methodologies he leads project teams with a holistic approach.

Alice Blackwood

Alice Blackwood is an editor, journalist and communications strategist. She is currently Editor of Indesign magazine. With over 10 years experience in the Australian architecture, design and media industries, Alice is a passionate supporter of the local design community, focusing much of her reportage on profiling the faces and forces behind top projects, innovative products and industry initiatives. “I think the Australian design community is one of the most talented and entrepreneurial in the world. I’m fascinated by all the moving parts – the businesses, the brands, the big-thinkers and everyday-doers – that come together to make up the Australia design industry.” Alice remains an active member of the Australian design and media community as a Moderator, MC, Judge, Commentator, Mentor and Advisor.

Simone LeAmon

Working internationally for more than two decades as an artist, industrial designer, curator, writer and lecturer, Simone LeAmon has established a career as one of Australia’s foremost design professionals, championing the importance of design and creativity, and the work of our creative communities.

Amplifying the role of designers in the public domain, Simone was appointed the inaugural Hugh Williamson Curator of Contemporary Design and Architecture at the National Gallery of Victoria in 2015. The NGV’s Department of Contemporary Design and Architecture is the first of its kind for an art gallery in Australia. Launched in 2015, the Department spearheads the NGV’s vision to become a leading international proponent for design.

Working on design exhibitions, programming and projects that give agency to people of different backgrounds, Simone’s practice as both a designer and curator aims to elevate the value of design for the enrichment of society, culture and the environment.

Steve Cordony

Steve Cordony is a leading Sydney-based interior and event stylist, and the ‘style director-at-large’ for leading Australian interior design magazine Belle. Steve has worked across a range of areas in the design industry, where his talent and expertise has seen him create stunning events and interiors for both personal and corporate clients such as L’Oreal, Ralph Lauren, Waterford, Land Rover, Royal Doulton and Georg Jensen.

His knowledge of design is extensive, having worked with a range of clients to develop editorial and advertorial features including Myer Emporium, Coco Republic, Woolmark, Gourmet Traveller, Mirvac, Sephora and Country Road. With a strong following across social media, Steve regularly presents interior styling workshops and hosts industry events, and was recently featured as one of the top 10 Australian interior Instagramers.
