Director of the innovative porcelain tile brand Kaolin. Anton Russian descent grew up in Belgium, where he completed a business Engineering Degree and worked in management consulting. While Anton was polishing up on his Mandarin he met Rita his wife. Rita is Chinese-Australian descent. They spent significant time in Europe and Asia, exposed to many different cultural and artistic influences. This gave them a lot to draw on in property development company Chosen Group.
They were always making sure that the finishes of each development were state-of-the-art, with high selection criteria for every single item including tiles. It became frustrating for them that tiles were treated as a staple construction material without seeing the bigger picture.
Together they established Kaolin here in Australia. Rita’s family-owned factory based in China has a 25-year history of porcelain tile craftsmanship, innovation, and engineering.
Rita and Anton’s conscious choice of sustainability is something that has been passed on from previous generations to them. As parents preserving the beauty of the world around them for future generations is a deep part of Kaolin’s philosophy.
