Jo brings thirty years of experience to her role as an education strategist, academic and designer. For the past fourteen years, Jo has developed her education strategy profile working with universities and TAFEs in Australia and around the world. Her work has included developing Strategic Accommodation Masterplans for the University of Melbourne, Swinburne University of Technology, Canterbury University (NZ) and Bendigo Kangan Institute. She led the development of Functional Briefs for the Australian Institute of Infectious Diseases, Victoria University’s new city tower and the University of Tasmania’s Forestry Building, providing a diverse grounding in all space typologies on campus.
Jo has recently started her own consultancy business, named Educology, where she continues working with universities and schools, to strategically plan campus environments for the future. She previously worked at Woods Bagot for twelve years, including six years as a Principal. Prior to that Jo worked as an academic at Monash University, teaching and researching within the Bachelor of Interior Architecture program. In 2020, Jo completed her PhD on the topic of New Generation Learning Environments in Higher Education.
