Energetic, passionate and determined, Liz leads the Live portfolio at Studio Tate and believes that creating environments that support a happier life through both function and beauty can contribute immensely to peoples’ wellbeing.
As a designer, Liz loves the challenge of balancing creativity with technical, practical and ‘real world’ constraints. Her own personal design philosophy is to begin with functionality, embellish with interesting materiality and detail meticulously; it informs all her work.
She enjoys ‘big picture’ thinking at the outset of a project, developing a creative narrative and floorplans; yet her greatest passion lies in the details, always exploring materiality and developing new details that are unique to each project.
She has a collaborative, adaptable approach and enjoys the problem solving often required through the build process, while developing strong relationships with builders and craftsmen.
