Mark directs ARM’s Sydney studio.
He heads architecture and masterplanning teams and is highly skilled in developing design concepts and design theory. He leads stakeholder consultation and brief development and manages multi-disciplinary teams. He also has extensive experience in computer-aided
design, all aspects of client and stakeholder relationships, and project delivery.
Mark is very interested in urban design: in how buildings connect with and catalyse their surrounds, especially in Sydney’s evolving neighbourhoods. He is currently Director in Charge of the Blacktown International Centre for Training Excellence, where he has led the masterplan, business case, stakeholder consultation and brief development tasks.
Mark designs for universities and he teaches in them. He is invited regularly to speak on design and urbanism around Australia and overseas. He has taught in the Masters of Architecture programs at RMIT University and the University of Technology Sydney.
