Max Cairns, a London born designer now based in Melbourne brings a multi-disciplinary background to his design approach. Graduating from Central St Martins with an Art Foundation and the University of Brighton UK with a degree in 3D design, Max has extensive experience in furniture and lighting design however it is his diverse skill set that differentiates him. His experience in art, sculpture and woodwork have nurtured his unconventionality; encouraging him to produce original and distinct pieces that challenge materiality and form. Having been with the Jardan team for over four years, his affinity with organic shapes effortlessly align with the brands connection to natural landscapes and local architecture. Working closely with the director and research and development teams, his meticulous approach ensures that his designs are a seamless blend of elevated aesthetics and innate functionality.
