Michael has a background in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Project Management and as a Workplace Strategist and Change Manager. He started his career as an architect with the Australian Government and remained there, for over 10 years, working on secret and politically sensitive projects, both buildings and interiors, across Australia.
He then moved into to the private sector where he worked with several practices, on a variety of projects in many sectors including Residential, Hospitality, F&B, Retail, trading floors, and commercial interiors prior to specialising in workplace.
In the late 1990’s he relocated to Singapore where he worked throughout Asia, designing new workplaces for many financial services and technology multi-nationals. He has continued to influence the changing requirements of our workplaces.
For the last 4 years Michael has been employed by CBRE and embedded within the Standard Chartered Bank Global account. His primary role there has been to, develop and write SCB’s Global Workplace Guidelines. During this time the Bank has undergone constant change, moving from a traditional style to ABW and now a Hybrid workforce and workplace has evolved and needs to be catered for.
Michael reach has evolved from a regional influence into truly global, his current role is Global Commercial Design Centre of Excellence.
