With over two decades of design experience, Miriam Fanning (Mim) is the Founder and Principal Interior Designer of the acclaimed multi-disciplinary firm, Mim Design. Renowned for its creativity, meticulous finishes, and attention to detail, the studio’s philosophy under Mim’s guidance is to create distinctive designs that not only reflect clients’ identities but also enrich their lives.
Miriam’s journey began in architectural and design firms, where she progressed to Associate Director over 12 years, working on both local and international projects, including New York and Los Angeles. Exposure to global design trends during overseas work and travel ignited her passion for innovation. Establishing Mim Design in 2000, based in South Yarra’s Bond Street, the mid-sized studio of 25 professionals handles diverse projects, from residential to hospitality, hotels, and retail. A sought-after speaker, Miriam has steered her firm to national and international prominence, amassing awards for projects like Seed Heritage, Upper West Side, and the Lexus Design Pavilion. Notably, she was a recipient of the Dulux DIAlogue Tour in 2017, fostering her dedication to diverse and inspired design.
